KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
January 2006
Harold O. Wallace
Brother Knights:
On December 8th, Ash Johnson and I delivered the checks from the Children with Disabilities (Tootsie Roll) Drive to the designated recipients, Sunshine School, Gravette Special Education, and McDonald County R-1 Special Services. The recipients were very pleased, and will put the money to good use. I received thank you letters from the Benton County Sunshine School and Gravette Special Education Staff for the donation. I also received a thank you letter from the Bella Vista Library Director for our $500 donation.
A good turnout of participants is expected at the FreeThrow Contest at the Bella Vista Boys and Girls Club on Thursday, January 5, 2006. It will start at 6:30 PM and it should be very interesting to see these youngsters shoot free throws.
Bernie Zerr reports that the Rummage Sale effort is moving along well, but that more volunteers are needed. They need some volunteers with pick-up trucks to help with picking up large donations. If you can help out, give Bernie a call at 876-1062.
Mark you calendar for the Knights Ladies Appreciation Dinner on February 10th. Andy Buchl is chairman and a good time for all is planned. Tickets will go on sale in the Parish hall after the Sunday mass on January 22nd.
I am compiling a Knights of Columbus e-mail list for more timely notification of Knights’ information. If you want to be on this list, send me a quick e-mail to: haroldowallace@yahoo.com.
Congratulations to Dean Mechels for completing 50 years of continuous service as a
